WoW! Dieser wiederverwendbare Poncho wird aus Abfällen aus der Maisproduktion hergestellt: : 4% PLA, 60% PBAT und 36% Maisstärke. Die als Nebenprodukt verbleibende Stärke wird als PLA bezeichnet. Um aus Mais eine Art Kunststoff (PLA) zu machen, werden die Maiskörner mit Schwefeldioxid in heißem Wasser vermischt, damit sich alle Bestandteile dieser Mischung wieder zu Stärke, Proteinen und Fasern entwickeln. Die Fasern werden zu einer Art Kunststoff verarbeitet, der die Entwicklung eines Ponchos ermöglicht. Dieses Material ist 100% biologisch abbaubar und zu 100% kompostierbar. Verpackt in einem Überzug, ebenfalls aus dem gleichen Material wie der Poncho selbst. Aufgeklappte Maße, gemessen ohne Haube: 100 x 125 cm.
